ANNUAL TIMBUCTOO DAY
Saturday, September 23rd
Program: 12:00 – 12:45 pm
Timbuctoo Day is held annually to commemorate the founding of Timbuctoo, which was one of several antebellum African American settlements in New Jersey. This year we changed the date to September 23, which coincides with the purchase of at least two of the first parcels sold to African Americans in the area now known as Timbuctoo.
